This has been a labor of love, time and passion for life. I started this journey in February 2010, and it is flying high now because I took a chance on me. I did not go to school to study photography -- instead I went to college to be a PE major and found out biology wasn't for me. After switching majors to Sports Management, I blew out my knee playing pick-up football with friends on the baseball field. Needless to say I didn't finish my degree after that.
When I first picked up a camera, the last thing I could imagine would be capturing real life as a profession rather than simply a passion. Over the years, however, shooting everything from a water glass at a restaurant where I worked, to a puppy, to weddings, to charity events, I've found I am blessed to follow my passion as a profession.
I have shot at least 50,000 pictures of Boston including many of the great people who call it home. I have shot the beaches of Cape Cod and the river in Exeter, NH. But what gives me the greatest pleasure is shooting people in their natural state, as they are in the moment I click the shutter. To show what they are feeling -- getting that hug from mom, seeing an old friend, or after finishing the Boston Marathon.
To capture real life well is a gift that I am happy to be blessed with. I allow the moments to happen and hold my breath as they do in hopes that when I do finally click that shutter it will be worth the wait.
